With a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Mysore, his research spans molecular biology, snake venom pharmacology, and cancer biology. His doctoral work focused on plant latex proteases and their role in hemostasis, earning him multiple first-author publications. Currently, he investigates the roles of circular and long non-coding RNAs in leukemia progression and prognosis, contributing to high-impact publications and advancing translational research in hematological malignancies. Dr. Urs also serves as an editor and reviewer for leading scientific journals and has extensive experience mentoring students and collaborating on multidisciplinary projects.
